If we could not confirm your payment for the registration fee by the date below, we will cancel your registration. Once it has been canceled, you have to reregister and pay for the registration fee for the new category.

All presenters with accepted abstracts are asked to register by November 30, 2023 (JST, UTC+9).
Co-authors who will not present onsite but willing to attend the conference, are asked to select Early Bird/ Normal price category when registering, not Accompany.


  • Banquet: CLOSED
    Registration fee for Early Bird, Normal, Onsite, Student Category includes participation in the Welcome Reception, Banquet, Coffee break, access to all oral sessions and the exhibition area. However, please note that the banquet is already CLOSED due to reaching full capacity.
  • Accompany Registration: CLOSED
    Accompany registration fee includes the banquet fee.
  • The Registration for Tours: CLOSED

Payment Method

Payment of the registration fee can only be made by credit card.
Bank transfer payment has already finished on February 2, 2024 5:00 PM (JST, UTC +9).


Application for visa documents can be made through the registration system for 15,000 JPY.
Information on visas and entry is subject to change depending on the status of COVID-19 infection in Japan.
Please be sure to check the website of the Japanese Embassy or Consulate-General in your area of residence for the latest information before applying.
Participants who need a VISA should complete registration and payment by Feb 10, 2024 (JST).
In case you register after that date, the VISA application documents may not be issued in time.

Cancellation Policy

Due to system restriction, amendments of the registered content can only be made by cancellation and re-registration.
In case of cancellation by January 19, 2024 5:00 PM (JST, UTC +9), the full registration fee (minus transaction fee) can be refunded.
*Refunds will be handled by the Registration Desk within 14 days after request, but please note that the timing you will receive the refund depends on the credit card company or your bank.
After January 19, 2024 5:01 PM (JST, UTC +9): NO REFUND.
No-shows are not applicable for refunds.


The Local Organization Committee of the SMiRT 27 shall not be liable for any failure or delay in holding the conference where such failure or delay results from any cause that is beyond their reasonable control. Such causes include, but are not limited to power failure, Internet Service Provider failure, industrial action, civil unrest, fire, flood, storms, earthquakes, acts of terrorism, acts of war, governmental action or any other event that is beyond the control of the party in question.
If the above-mentioned event happens prior to the start of the conference causing the host secretariat to be unable to hold the conference, it shall refund registration fee in principle excluding costs of proceedings production and other related costs.

When you visit the registration page, you will be requested to create an account with an ID and PW.
After creating your account, you can select the registration type, and pay the registration fee.
Important: If you have already created an account for abstract submission, you may register using the same account. Please be careful to avoid creating duplicate accounts.
